1. The first character I fell in love with - Ron Weasley. When he was first introduced on the Hogwarts Express, he really did stand out to me! He was funny, hilarious, and very memorable.
2. Character I never expected to love as much as I do now - Severus Snape. I guess when the series started, he was just this mean professor. We didn't know much about him. He had no depth yet. By the end of the series though, he has become one of my favorite characters.
3. Character that everyone loves but I don't - Hagrid! I find him useless and annoying for some reason.
4. Character I love that everyone hates - I can't think of anyone in particular for this one.
5. Character I used to love but don't anymore - Ginny. To be honest, I think this is because of the films and the actress that plays her. The image of the 'strong, wise, gorgeous Ginny' from the books didn't come to life for me, and so I feel like my view on the character just got tainted from that.
6. Character I'd totally smooch (LOL!) - Cedric Diggory. (when he was alive, of course haha)
7. Character I'd want to be like - Hermione.
8. Character I'd like to slap - Cho Chang!!! Forever and always.
9. A pairing that I love - Ron and Hermione, and Snape and Lily
10. A pairing that I despise - Cho Chang and Harry Potter.
I tag everyone to do this. Choose whatever fandom you want. It could be from a book or a movie or whatever you'd like. Enjoy! Happy friday!
*gasp* Say it ain't so? I love Hagrid. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Happy weekend doll!
Yup ;P Hope you have a fantastic one too!!
DeleteHow cool!:) I love doing tags. I'll see if I can come up with something.
ReplyDeleteYay :) Looking forward to reading it.
DeleteI was all happy and high-five ready until...
ReplyDeletethe unthinkable happened...
I found out someone (THAT'S YOU, JILLIAN. HOW COULD YOU?) doesn't like Hagrid.
Why? :'( Haha, just kidding... but really! I don't think I know anyone else that hates Hagrid. Weird.
Yeah, I hate the movie version of Ginny. I still like her in the books but I really wish they'd portrayed her differently. Where was the funny, confident girl I loved?
HAHAHAHAHA CHO CHANG + HARRY POTTER = MOST DISASTROUS COUPLE IN THE WORLD. Oh, that date was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Poor Harry, having to go out with such an annoying girl.
Awesome answers! :) I'll have to do this soon.

Sorry, fellow Hufflepuff-er. LOL. I really am not that fond of Hagrid! And yeah, my exact point about Ginny. And yay for hating Cho Chang too!
DeleteI don't know if I would consider Hagrid useless. I mean, he delivered the letter to Harry. He bought Harry Hedwig. He housed a Gryffin, which helped Sirius escape. He sold the secrets about Fluffy to a guy in a seedy bar for an illegal dragon egg. He brought Grawp to the forest who aided in Umbridge's temporary leave from the series. Okay, so maybe he was useless because most of his decisions in the book were poor, and they caused a lot of unnecessary complications, but the unnecessary complications certainly played an important role in the plot...That all being said, I find him annoying too. How does one person who can't even use magic create *that* much trouble?!
ReplyDeleteI actually like Ginny more now than I used to. I really didn't care for her in the books, but I did actually appreciate her on screen! Weird, because I think it's usually the other way around for people.
Otherwise...I am *so* with you on everything else!!! Oh wait, except, I'd prefer smooching Ron over Cedric.
Haha Jackie, I totally understand why people love him though. What we both particularly find annoying about him, others find adorable.. errrr something like that. He definitely had a useful character, but like you said, his decisions were just so awful!
Deletehaha, no love for Cho Chang, I see. Yeah, I wasn't overly fond of her either...
ReplyDeleteI was also disappointed with Bonnie Wright's performance as Ginny throughout all of the movies. Just not how I pictured her. I wonder though if it's a matter of bad acting or bad direction/writing?
Bonnie Wright, though pretty, doesn't seem to have that 'spark' and connection with Daniel Radcliffe. Could be why we don't feel for her in the films as much as we do for her in the books.
DeleteI also think that they had NO idea when they first did the movie that jK Rowling was going to put Ginny and Harry together in the end. So by the time the 6th book came out (when Ginny started developing more as a character) it was too late to change the actress, and the time the movie spent on developing her on film.
Fun answers! I love Severus Snape too ;P

ReplyDelete1. The first character I fell in love with
Everyone kills me for saying this, but . . . Percy Weasley. =P
2. Character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Neville Longbottom: I think we should have an "alternative" seven-book series that retells the entire story from his point of view.
3. Character that everyone loves but I don't
I'm with you on this one, Jillian: I don't hate Hagrid, but I can't understand everyone who's crazy about him, either.
4. Character I love that everyone hates
Percy Weasley again. =P
5. Character I used to love but don't anymore
Harry Potter himself, sadly enough. I think that if I had gone to Hogwarts, I wouldn't be able to stand him. And it wouldn't be because I was some prejudiced Slytherin.
6. Character I'd totally smooch (LOL!)
Oh, gosh . . . I had a huge crush on the actor who played Oliver Wood in the movies. Does he count? LOL!
7. Character I'd want to be like
Hermione Granger . . . or Luna Lovegood!
8. Character I'd like to slap
Sirius Black, in The Order of the Phoenix. I could understand him, but I thought he was taking all his frustrations out on Harry.
9. A pairing that I love
Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood. ;-)
10. A pairing that I despise
I couldn't see the sense in Cho Chang/Harry Potter, either. =/
I had a massive crush on the guy that played Oliver Wood too! LOL. I am okay with Percy Weasley, he wasn't anything important to me to be honest though! Oh and I adore Luna Lovegood.
DeleteI totally agree with Ginny. I loved her in the books! But I think they just did a terrible job with her in the movies.
