I'm currently reading The Green Mile by Stephen King. I got it for .50 the other day, and had to re-read it. It's been a while since I read it and to be honest I was much younger then and so I've already forgotten what it's all about. So far, sooo good!
I have just read one Stephen King book - Salem's Lot. It freaked me out so much that I never read another book by him again lol.
ReplyDeleteThe last books I read were A Student of Weather by Elizabeth Hay and Now You See Me by S J Bolton - Loved them both! I am currently reading Bleeding Heart Square by Andrew Taylor - a very tedious read till now.
I've had a bit of a hectic week, so I still haven't finished The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. And no, the fact that I HAD TO start The Reunion by L. J. Smith has nothing whatsoever to do with it:) Oh, and I'm rereading The Two Towers by Tolkien. So, plenty of reading for me.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Here Lies Bridget. I'm a little conflicted on it. It was engrossing but had the potential to be great. Had a few plot holes and writing could have been better too to be honest. But then I really enjoyed it, SO CONFUSED! :p
ReplyDeleteI have that book in my TBR mountain...lol. The film was sooo good.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Conquistadora right now.
Right now, I am reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. It really is very funny and good if the literature makes sense to the reader. I would recommend giving it a try! Let's see....the last book(s) I read was the Hunger Games trilogy. I loved those. The concept of the entire story is pretty violent, but the character development is so strong that the book was excellent. I recommend both of the books I listed!
ReplyDeleteThe Green Mile is one of my all-time favourites. It's definitely worth re-reading.
ReplyDeleteThe movie was great from what I remember, never considered reading it.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend my last read - The Two Deaths of Daniel Hayes.
At the moment I'm reading Forgotten by Cat Patrick. So far, so good! I def. would recommend it to you.
ReplyDeleteMisha - The Green Mile is a bit more of a drama-based novel - not horror at all. At least not like Salem's Lot and The Shining or even Carrie ;)
ReplyDeletePepca - That's alright - enjoy your books :)
Aly - Hmm.. I don't know if I should read it then! Haha
naida - I think you will like The Green Mile!
Brooke - I do love Northanger Abbey and the Hunger Games of course! You've got two great reads there!
Teacher/Learner - There's so many things I already forgot about the book! I'm so glad I picked it up again.
Marce - I definitely want to pick that up sometime soon. The synopsis sounds so good! Definitely sounds like something I'd enjoy.
Nina - I want to read that one. I've been seeing that a lot lately.
I've only read one Stephen King book - It. SCARRED ME FOR LIFE. I do want to go back and read some more though, haha :) Maybe I'll read The Green Mile if it's more drama-based. Can't wait to read your thoughts on it!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz which is pretty good so far. I finished Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton yesterday which was really awesome. Definitely recommended!
The Story Queen - I've read a lot of his horror novels, and The Shining scarred me as well. But this one's not horror at all. It is so good. I recommend it.
