Horrible?
Yes. This book is ALL about the horror she goes through. As a first-person narrative, she innocently talks about all her thoughts and her feelings.
I read this in 2 hours. I could not put it down, literally. I was at Borders for the whole 2 hours just reading this novel. The words are strong, every chapter holding its own. I liked it a lot. The ending was ambigious, leaving you wanting to figure out what really happened to her. I guess I’ll just always hope for the best that ::spoiler:: she got away, but didn’t die. I have a strong feeling she did die though, with her last words, “I am finally free.”
