In My Mailbox (2)

<-- I loved Pixar's Up for a lot of different reasons. Mostly, I loved it because of Carl & Ellie. Honestly.
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren. It is where we showcase the books we got the past week: through the mail, purchased, won, and/or borrowed.

That's it for this week! What did you get in your mailbox? And have you read any of these? What did you think of them? I'd like to know. Happy weekend!

  1. Half Priced Books... the store? If so, I LOVE that store!

  2. I really liked Lament when I read it. I haven't read any of your other books yet but I have heard good things about The Maze Runner. I read your review of Life in the Fat Lane and it doesn't look like something I'd like. The topic of weight has been covered in much better ways in other YA books thankfully. It is too bad that the book didn't fully develop the MC or explore her issues more. I hope you enjoy your other books much more.

  3. Great books. I really want to read The Maze Runner

  4. I loved the movie Up. Can I steal the picture to use too?

I'm looking forward to reading your review on Lament.

    Have a great weekend!!

  5. Is Half-Priced Books an online store? I also recommend Goodreads Swap program. I have gotten a ton of books that way!

  6. Great stuff! I loved Up too. It was so cute.

  7. Ooo I love the Up image! I adore that movie. Happy reading.

  8. You got a really nice selection of books. I liked A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I have The Maze Runner too. Happy reading!

  9. Great books!

    I also loved Up!

  10. @Marie: Yes, I meant the store. I love it too!

@naida: Thank you! You too :)

@Christina T: I am really liking Lament so far. Maggie Stiefvater is very artistic when it comes to her writing, if that even makes sense?
Personally, I found Life in Fat Lane very offensive. I think maybe it's just me? But I just couldn't understand what the author wanted to say. It was full of hatred and negativity for and about "fat" people. It's kind of sad.

@Trillian: Yes, I have heard great things about it and the plot sure sounds interesting. I can't wait to read it too!

@Heather: Haha you can use it for yours too :)

@Julie P: Half Price books is a used bookstore. I do recommend for cheaper books. I'll definitely check out Goodreads Swap program. Thank you for the heads up!

@StephTheBookworm: It was! Kind of sad when youknowho dies, but I still liked it.

@Juju: I adore it too, and thank you! Happy reading to you too!

@Kathy Martin: Thank you! And yes, I liked A Tree Grows in Brooklyn as well. It's such a classic for me. Happy reading to you too!

    @Gaby: Up was awesome. Haha.
