current read + a questionnaire?

Currently reading: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

I've always wanted to read this, and I keep telling myself, even before the movie came out, that I would. Unfortunately, there's been a teeny little bad habit that has formed throughout the years; Even though I know I have already way too many books on my TBR list, I still keep adding more on top of another! Next thing I know, my TBR stack is taller than the "Already Read" one, and I can barely keep up.

Do you ever have this issue -- ahem, problem -- too?

On an entirely different note, I decided to do this little random thing -- forgive me for this brief moment of narcissism -- and answer a questionnaire all about books. I saw this at Amelia's blog, and like her, I couldn't resist.

1. Book next to your bed right now: Good Grief by Lolly Winston (just finished), and The LIghtning Thief.

2. Favorite series: I am going to be a total nerd with this one. My answer has not changed for about 12 years or so. It was, and probably always will be the Harry Potter series.

3. Favorite book: If there was a list of "Top 10 Most Difficult Questions to Ask Me," this would most definitely be up there. I have way, way too many.

4. The one book you would have with you if stranded on a desert island: Again, with the nerdy-ness. It would probably have to be one book from the Harry Potter series.

5. Book/series you would take with you on a long flight: The Time Traveler's Wife, The Book Thief, and maybe, The Thirteenth Tale.

6. Worst book you were made to read in school: Aw man, forgive me for this. I have to say, 1984 by George Orwell, The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

7. Book that everyone should be made to read in school: The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. But then again, I'm just being biased. Other picks would be: The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.

8. Book that everyone should read, period: Harry Potter series, 100 Love Sonnets by Pablo Neruda, The Book Thief, Little Women, The Secret Garden, and Jane Eyre.

9. Favorite character: Severus Snape from HP series, Clare Abshire from The Time Traveler's Wife, and Mary Lennox from The Secret Garden

10. Best villain: Sauron from The Lord of the Rings, Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, and Hannibal Lecter from we-all-know-where-this-cannibal-is-from.

11. Favorite concept book/series: I have a lot, but right now, it's The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I know its concept has been done a lot before, but I really just enjoyed this one. And I know this is random, but if this was made into a horror film, I think it'd do good.

12. Favorite invented world: You already know what I'm going to say ;) The world of muggles, aurors, Parseltongue, etc. Another would be, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

13. Most beautifully written book: This is also a difficult question to answer. There are far too many to pick just one. I'm going to be biased though, and say anything written by Pablo Neruda counts as the most beautifully written work.

14. Funniest book/series: The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. Maybe it's just the girly girl in me that picked this. Haha. Also, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams is another that automatically comes to mind.

Feel free to answer this. If you do, please leave a comment. I'd love to read your answers! :D
