the John Green project.

I recently re-read a little book called Looking for Alaska, written by none other than John Green.
I fell in love with the story and its characters once again, and discovered so many new awesome things about it. This re-read made me realize that I actually haven't read much from the said author, despite the fact that I adore him and his brother, a.k.a thevlogbrothers.

So I decided that I would read all of his books.
  • Looking for Alaska - check
  • An Abundance of Katherines - will read next!
  • Paper Towns - on hold
  • Will Grayson, Will Grayson - own it
  • The Fault in Our Stars - coming soon; February 2012. Pre-order it and he will sign it!
Have you read any of these? Did you like them? I personally think his writing style stands out and his characters always seem to really shine through. So I am very excited to start discovering the rest of his work. Join me if you'd like!

  1. I haven't read anything by him, but your enthusiasm is convincing - I'll be on the lookout for his books.

  2. Have read and love all his books - hope you enjoy them as much as I do :D

  3. I love John Green. I've read An Abundance of Katherines and loved it. Looking for Alaska is next on my to-read list.

  4. Yay, I love John Green. I read and adored Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns awhile ago. Just this month I read will Grayson and have preordered The Fault. I'm saving Katherines. I got to see him speak last year and he was just as fantastic and funny in person as he is on his blog. You just can't go wrong with him.

  5. Pepca - It's a diff kind of YA. It's pretty good.

Juju - I really like him as a person as well so I don't doubt his books one bit.

Miss Friday - Yay! Nice to hear from someone who's read them all and loved them all!

Kathy - I know you do ;) NERDFIGHTERS ftw! And I hope you like Looking for Alaska.

Melissa - I woud LOVE to hear him speak! His videos with his brother are amazing. You should watch them =]

  6. I've read Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska. I absolutely loved both, but I like Paper Towns the most. I really need to read his others books, though. Just a couple more to add to my to-read list.

  7. I've had Paper Towns, the really cute paperback, on my shelf for awhile. I watch a lot of vlogbrothers videos, so I think I'm gonna have to read at least one of his books. I'll probably end up loving them.

  8. Ypuve given me a new author to check out. Thanks!

  9. I love his videos with his brother. I definitely watch them every week! Hank is hilarious too.

  10. Will Grayson, Will Grayson is FANTASTIC! I haven't gotten Green's other books yet (or David Levithan's) but they're not both very much on my YA radar. Loved it.

  11. Kate - I'm so excited for Paper Towns! It sounds awesome.

Melanie - I looovee the vlogbrother videos! So entertaining, and I actually really do learn something new everyday from them!

    naida - =] You're welcome!

Melissa - Hank is awesome indeed!

Carin - I am very excited for Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Sounds so different from all the other books I've read!
